Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm and Weekends Noon-4:00pm. Description: As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician at Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital you'll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate completion of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure completion. Responsibilities include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; IV compounding, patient billing, and purchasing. Main tasks include: Organizing the storage and safe environment for drugs and medications Rotating stock, removing expired medications and performing other inventory control duties Receiving and stocking supplies and confirm quantities against invoices Delivering medications to the nursing units or patient rooms Filling containers or bottles with the prescribed medications and prepackaging of medicines Compounding medications Inspection of medication storage areas around the facility Purchasing medicines from wholesalers and pharmaceutical companies Facility: The 52,800 square-foot, single-story facility, is built on 6.39-acres of land at 675 Good Drive, Lancaster. Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital includes a therapeutic pool, gymnasium, 59 private rooms and space for intensive inpatient physical rehabilitation following strokes, trauma or other healthcare problems that result in severe disabilities. The facility provides a setting that enhances rehabilitation care beyond what was historically provided at Lancaster General Hospital and what is available at other hospitals throughout the region.
